We're thrilled to be able to deliver a Writers' Festival in St George from Monday 1 to Wednesday 3 September 2025.

Extending our outreach programme to St George in 2024. Storyfest will provide regional communities with equitable opportunities to interact with authors and books in a fun, festive atmosphere; strengthening connection in regional communities around a unique cultural experience. Rarely– if ever–do writers festivals come to the outback, we seek to change this: making inspiration accessible to all.

The Heart of the Matter: Stories that shape our world with Megan Daley, Nicole Alexander and Jacqueline Harvey , hosted by Caroline Graham

In an era where distractions are everywhere, amidst all the noise, stories have never been more important. In this panel conversation, Nicole Alexander (bestselling author of eleven historical fiction novels), Megan Daley (multiple award-winning teacher librarian, author and podcaster) and Jacqueline Harvey (million-copy bestselling children's author) explore the role of storytelling in an ever-changing world. They'll consider what continues to drive audiences to bookstores and libraries, the role of reading in childhood and development and the future of stories and storytelling. Whether you're a writer, reader, or simply a lover of stories, this event promises to enlighten, inspire, and celebrate the value of stories.
