Storyfest Business Lunches have become a highlight of the year for our community.

In October 2021 we were fortunate to host Curtis McGrath OAM fresh from his Gold Medal Glory in the Tokyo Paralympic Games. We welcomed 200 guests for the lunch and can proudly share that we raised over $40,000 on the day.

All 200 people were completely captivated by Curtis’ story. Curtis spoke of his time spent with the Australian Army, and how one simple mistake changed his life forever. After an accident that nearly killed him, Curtis chose not to let it overcome him and went on find a new passion in Rowing.

The business lunch also featured a live auction which saw 5 items available for a combined value of over $45,000. After the lunch concluded, the room was buzzing with everyone’s rave reviews for Curtis and the whole event.

We’re so grateful for everyone that was in attendance, and especially for those that bid on auction items and purchased raffle tickets. Stay tuned for our next lunch in May 2022.
