Dennis Arthur

Dennis has a powerful journey from homelessness to becoming an elite athlete, mentor, teacher, and youth worker. A former Australasian Light Heavyweight Champion, Dennis’ boxing career includes multiple ACT and Australian titles, as well as representing Australia at the World Championships in South Korea. His accomplishments also include being a two-time Queensland Cruiserweight Champion. Outside of boxing, Dennis has worked with at-risk youth, helping them avoid the juvenile justice system, and served as a youth worker and community education counselor, advocating for First Nations families to access equitable education. Despite facing homelessness and working multiple jobs, Dennis' journey is guided by his motto: "Be the person you needed when you were a kid."
